Product Description
Gala dinner menu from the Big U dated October 9, 1953–just over 72 years after this description was written. I love looking at old liner menus and figuring out what I would have had. Lobster Newburgh? Indigene Birds Nest Soup? Pate fr Fois Gras with Truffles? Or perhaps the Beluga Malossol Caviar? Her ultimate fate is not what I would have wanted for her, but like an associate of mine says: “Better sunk than scrapped.” This menu helps us remember her glory days. Great condition. JF
