Product Description
The big version of what must have been one of the first and certainly the finest of the brochures produced for the newly merged Cunard White Star Line circa late 1936 or so. It runs 16 pages with the first quarter of the brochure showing second class for the upcoming RMS Queen Mary and sporting a full-spread centerfold of this amazing new liner. But what a delightful hodgepodge the rest of the brochure is. Franconia, Britannic, Scythia, Aquitania, Berengaria, etc. The fleet was a real mix-up in the 5 years following the merger of the two famous companies. Also shown are cabins for the small A Class oddities built in the 1920s that still had only running cold water and no hot in their cabins. In very good condition.
As a photo of the gift shop on board the RMS Aquitania proclaims in this brochure: “Buy a souvenir or they will think you walked!”
