Product Description
Silver iced-butter dish as used on the famed Queens. Bottom dish is marked Cunard White Star and dated 1936 so made for the maiden voyage of the RMS Queen Mary. Both dish and insert are made by Elkington. Iced butter is still served at dinner on the Queen Mary 2 in dishes similar to this today, but they aren’t silver plated. In very good condition with just typical use marks and a few slight dents on the underside of the lid which are not noticeable when displayed. This will really enhance your tableware collection, and I find most collectors are very drawn to them.
