Product Description
A useful silver bread tray by International Silver and date coded to the maiden voyage of the ss United States. Of particular interest is the “CD” stamped into the bottom of the piece. This is thought by collectors to denote the cabin-class dining room. Since the silver pattern used in all three dining rooms of the ss United States was the same, it was easy after scrubbing up to put too many bread trays into a single spot and thus short changing the other dining rooms. This little physical note was a reminder to properly supply each dining room. Measures about 9.75″ x 6″.
