Product Description
Great presentation book given to VIP’s who attended the launch of the first Mauretania at Swan Hunter’s yard on September 20, 1906. One has to wonder whose copy this was. Measures about 21″ x 16″ and contains four very large, crystal-clear photos of VIP’s inspecting some of the machinery on the day of the launch as well as a photo of the pattern shop set up for the lunch and one of the same room the day after, set up for business again. The photos each measure about 15″ x 11″. Opposite each photo is a description of what the view shows. In very good condition considering the age.
