One of the most collectible items ever made for the Queen Mary. A Chad Valley take-to-pieces model. As you can see from the photo, each deck pivots revealing a detailed color-coded deck plan.
The model is in excellent condition and seems to be getting tougher to find. Nearly 90 years old now is the cause of that rarity. The original box contains the original key and mast envelope with one mast. The expense of this type of toy just shows how famous the Queen Mary was. I wish they had done this for other liners! What child’s (or collector’s) heart wouldn’t pound with excitement at the prospect of playing with this?
