Very cute silver creamer made by Christofle for the on-board tea service of the ss Normandie. Isn’t it interesting that the French Line used a silver tea service compared to the Cunard Line which was using a china tea service? It’s thought that CGT reused some of ss Normandie’s silver on the post-war ships like the Liberte and Ile de France. Since some of it might have had two distinct lives at sea, it is often found in heavily used condition. Lucky for you, this one is in fantastic condition. Measures about 4.25″ from handle to spout.
