Product Description
One of the rarest Normandie items I have yet offered–a throw rug from one of her third-class cabins! This is only the second time I have been able to offer any fabric from Normandie. The other was a swatch of fabric from her Salon de Lecture. This rug is in a lovely, simple geometric design in shades of cream and soft green. A nice size, measures about 42.5″ x 26″. I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that any fabric or soft furnishings from Normandie are impossible to find. So, as a well-known dealer once said, rare as hen’s teeth! A small stain on one edge and a few “pulls” here are there along the edges, but considering the rarity, it really doesn’t matter! Comes with a copy photo of an identical carpet on board the French Line flagship. A superb opportunity for one of you! In very nice condition. JF
