Product Description
The definitive and official record of Lusitania’s tragic last voyage. Published by Cunard in March, 1916, this is the final return of all passengers and crew on her final voyage (survivors and victims). It is also a complete record of the bodies recovered (whether identified or not) with all details such as condition, place of interment, and names of relatives who took over property found “thereon.” The book runs 187 pages not counting the two appendixes — one of which is a general analysis of passengers and crew, and the other is a summary of the nationalities on board.
Huge amounts of details that can be found nowhere else. As a historic record, it is fascinating (but sad). From a research perspective, it is invaluable. Only 150 copies of this book were made by Cunard; so needless to say, they quite rare. Softcover in excellent condition. It seems the covers are a very durable type of wax-covered canvas or linen. Some slight foxing to the spine with contents tight and otherwise in near mint condition.
