Product Description
Impressive advertising tin produced by the Cunard Line for the ill-fated RMS Lusitania circa 1907. Very detailed. For an advertising piece, it’s incredibly detailed down to the crow’s nest bell and the whistles. In remarkable condition and one of the best I have ever seen. These are often extremely rusty, dented, and/or with large scratches to the lithographed image. This one just has some age spots, browning to the varnish due to age, and some small bends at the edges. These were produced to hang in travel agencies and feature an interesting rope nautical-motif border. Measures about 38″ x 28″. A crowning piece to any Lusitania collection. If condition is everything for your collection, this is the one for you! Even your non-liner friends will be impressed.
