Product Description
I have not had this brochure before. It is a large and interesting study of the second-class cabins on both the ss Levithan and ss George Washington. Must date to about 1923 or so. Runs 16 pages and really showcases the Edwardian splendor still to be found in second class 100 years ago. They were quite proud of the “sanitary, germproof, modern and efficient” barber shops. People appreciated an efficient haircut 100 years ago it seems. 🙂 Interestingly the cabins on the George Washington had fully plumbed hot-and-cold running sinks while Leviathan had the old-fashioned compactums.
