Never had one of these amazing brochures before. A fantastic 36-page brochure for the most impressive ship ever to sail on the South Atlantic service. In French and sporting stunning renderings of her interior, including many in color. She was a preview of what to come on CGT’s ss Normandie a few years later! The images are Art Deco masterpieces. Fitting for such an impressive and well-regarded Art Deco masterpiece herself. ss L’Atlantique was owned Compagnie De Navigation Sud Atlantic which was supposedly a subsidiary of CGT although I’m not sure it was given the rather complicated nature of the French government’s holdings in the various French ocean-liner companies. Of course, the ship was tragically lost to fire. Such a magnificent ship, and if you can imagine, she was in service for only 15 short months! Exceedingly rare. Cover has some issues, but the contents are perfect.
