Product Description

Ile de France.  The name conjures up images of luxury, incredible French cuisine, and a rescue at sea.  What’s interesting to me is that the French Line never constructed sister ships.  A new ship was constructed for the line about every five years (war not withstanding), and the Ile was the second major French ship to appear on the Atlantic after World War I, and as usual, the French completely changed the way steamship companies decorated their liners.

There is no date on the brochure, but it is definitely after WWII and her post-war refit.  It runs 32 pages with 28 images covering all three classes.  Great condition with a touch of dirt on the covers.
