Ah, White Star’s poor red-headed step child. RMS Homeric rapidly lost what appeal she had to the first-string members of the traveling public. Partly due to her slow speed and partly due to something hard to describe, je ne sais quoi if you like. Some ships just have it, and while I rather like the Homeric and her interiors, she certainly didn’t have whatever “it” that the RMS Olympic so clearly possessed.
That’s not to say she does not have a place in your White Star Line collection. If priced right, I am a firm believer that everything will find its proper home. This sterling silver souvenir spoon is date marked 1933 (very late for her) and in excellent condition.
