Product Description

With decades of experience selling ocean-liner memorabilia, I am still often pleasantly surprised to find new and stunningly rare brochures.  The kind of brochures that I haven’t seen before and are so rare they make me say “WOW” out loud.  This is one such example.  A circa 1912 brochure for CGT.  It runs 32 pages, and half the brochure covers the French Line’s new flagship the ss France.  She was exceedingly luxurious as these images prove.   Many rather oblique references to the France’s superiority to the RMS Titanic are included in the text which is happily in English.  She entered service five days after Titanic sank, which is what we call “bad timing.”  The other half of the brochure shows the ss La Provance, ss La Savoie and ss La Lorraine.  In very very good condition with some slight age wear to cover at spine.   You’ll probably never see another of these!  JF
