An official Cunard Line history brochure produced by the company in 1907 and covering the history of the shipping line from 1840-1907. Interesting and full-color illustrated history of the fleet. It gives insight into the mind of Cunard 110 years ago about what ships and statistics they felt were important enough to be heralded. For example, the Carpathia rates her own entry, probably because she was quite new in 1907. The brochure starts in 1840 and, of course, ends with the RMS Lusitania and RMS Mauretania, the culmination of the finest in shipbuilding at the time. They were simultaneously the fastest and largest as well as the most luxurious ships in the world, and Cunard was rightly proud. Tied with a silk ribbon and in near mint condition. FT
