Product Description
RMS Carpathia. The name conjures up a night long ago when the largest ship in the world struck an iceberg and sank on her maiden voyage. As we all know, the Cunard liner Carpathia rescued the survivors of the White Star liner Titanic. Many years ago a single expedition did the only salvage work on her and recovered nearly 100 artifacts. These were all sold at auction in January, 2021, and I was lucky enough to purchase a number of items, including a few pieces of salvaged coal. I can now offer one of you, this exceptional opportunity to own something that was brought up from her shattered wreck.
Comes with a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity signed by PH Nargeolet, the expedition leader, who is well known for his association with the salvage of RMS Titanic. What better certification can you get than that? Certificate includes information about how it was salvaged and the specific coordinates of where it was lying when recovered. Fewer than 100 items were ever recovered from Carpathia so this is all there is likely to ever be available. Measures about 5″ long x 2.25″ tall x 1.25″ wide.
