Product Description
Very dramatic photo of the wreck of the Caribia (formerly the Cunarder RMS Caronia) on the breakwater at Apra Harbor, Guam. Taken shortly after she ran aground, this is before she broke into three pieces and sank, resulting in a two-year salvage operation to remove her wreck since she was blocking the harbor entrance. Such a very sad loss. Fortunately, most of her best fittings were sold and removed before she left New York for this tow to Taiwan.
