Product Description

19th-century White Star Line memorabilia is tough to source.  Anything from the first RMS Majestic one of the world’s first true ocean liners is even tougher.  Just think of the world of 136 years ago.  It feels almost unrecognizable compared to the modern world. A lovely first-class luncheon menu from July 9, 1890.  This is of course Majestic’s first year of service.  It comes from an era where White Star has not yet seemed to have determined “most luxurious liners in the world” was the way to go yet.  Despite that the menu looks astounding.  After starting with lobster and caviare, the menu wanders through roast beef, veal, ham, ox tongue & pate de foie gras.  In excellent condition even down to its embossed flag, OSNC, and gilded edges denoting first-class.
