Product Description

Here’s a special list!  There is so much to make this a stunning list for any White Star Line collector.  Let’s start with the cover, which is the same as used on RMS Titanic.  It is also marked “Advance List”–as is famously one for Titanic. Next up for this fabulous list is the date.  Baltic sailed from Liverpool to New York February 26, 1914–the very day of Britannic’s launch.

On the first page, RMS Olympic is listed as one of the largest steamers in the world, and Britannic is listed as “building.”  A sailing schedule for Southampton’s service lists Olympic again as one of the largest steamers in the world as well as her high seasons crossings for the year.  Some of these were certainly interrupted by the outbreak of  World War One.

Captain Ranson is in command on what has to be one of his last sailings, considering he was a White Star captain back in the 1890s.  Full foldout White Star Line route map, and finally, the last page sports another full-page ad for RMS Olympic, once again listed as one of the largest steamers in the world.  Some ink staining on the back cover otherwise excellent.
