Here is another item I have never had before. A crossing-the-line proclamation from the ss United States while on a cruise in February, 1968. She did so few cruises that crossed the equator that there can’t be many of these around! If you haven’t been to a crossing-the-line ceremony on a ship, they are a lot of fun. I went to one on the Queen Elizabeth in 2019, and it was a blast. Even more fun I thought it would be. Happily, Cunard still gave a paper proclamation as well. I have no doubt that the party on the ss United States was even more fun!
