Product Description
Van Ryper started his ship modeling business in 1933 in Martha’s Vineyard. The idea was straight forward–make handmade models in a very recognizable style. The name is famous, and the models are outstanding. But being 80-90 years old now, they are quite rare. This is a Van Ryper model of Cunard Line’s RMS Aquitania. The ship was original built in 1914 although the model would date clearly to later in her long life span with Cunard. It is in excellent condition having been cherished by a collector all these years. I was fortunate enough to buy his entire collection. Measures about 10.25″ long.
