Product Description
Rare solid-silver medal as sold on board the RMS Queen Elizabeth 2 in 1969. Weighs about 3.1 ounces. Love that early QE2 logo. Did you know you could have ordered these in solid gold, solid platinum, and solid silver? I didn’t know that until I saw the original advertisement for them, and I have never seen one of these medallions in any of those metals. With the price of silver today you are getting a bargain. Marked on the side “032.” Number 32 of a limited number? In lovely condition, but has a few tiny scratches on the back. Measuring about 2.5″ in diameter. Melt value for the silver alone is nearly $200. Please don’t melt this rare piece of history! AC
