Product Description
I haven’t had one of these brochures for RMS Caronia and RMS Carmania in many years. Embossed covers, bold Cunard Line logos, tied with a silk cord, verbose prose. All this combines to tell us this is the entry-into-service brochure for the “Pretty Sisters” as these 1905 Cunarders were popularly known. Some unique views that show their beauty, especially the funnels and interiors, which have a decidedly Lusitania-esque feel to them. Covers both 1st and 2nd class. Note the magazine rack in the writing room photo. Are those Cunard logos in brass that I see? Runs 32 pages, and each photo is a full page. Some slight chipping to cover but else very good condition.
