Product Description
Crystal clear and extremely hard-to-find real-photo postcard of the Cunard liner RMS Carpathia. Not many real photo cards are seen for her, making this a true rarity! The image is taken around the time of the Titanic’s loss as she is sporting the unusual brown stripe Cunard added to some ships just below the superstructure in the years leading up to World War One. Most people don’t know about the pivotal role Carpathia played in the various rate wars of the early 20th century. It is safe to say that Carpathia was punching way above her weight in bringing in income and helping Cunard win those wars. Written on but not posted.
