Very early passenger list for the Ile de France dated July 21, 1928. Lists officers, including the very well-known and liked Henri Villar, who went on to be the Chief Purser of the Normandie a few years later. Among the passengers is Paul Claudel, the French Ambassador. The usual contingent of maids, valets, and governesses on board. Covers both first and second class. Nice condition. JF
