Product Description
The French Line went for an absolute classic when they began using the famous St. Louis crystal on board the ss France in 1962. It was the same crystal company that Jackie Kennedy chose at the same time for the White House. Exceedingly rare decanter marked CGT and in perfect condition. Measures about 11.25″ tall and about 5″ across the base. Comes with its original receipt from Gene Darcy’s famous “Stores of the Queens” from 5th Ave, NYC, as well as a certificate of authenticity. The certificate, however, lists the ship this came from as Liberte since Darcy was very casual about listing the correct ship! These were very expensive in 1972 at nearly $70.
