I love collecting ocean-liner memorabilia, and it is partially because of items like this. This isn’t just your typical sterling-silver souvenir spoon from the Oceanic, White Star Line crowning achievement of the 19th century. It is happily also date marked 1912. Now while that does not mean anything to directly connect it to RMS Titanic, one’s mind still plays the enjoyable and ancient “what if game.” For example, it isn’t completely dreaming to wonder if this very spoon was on board the Oceanic when Titanic nearly collided with her and the SS New York while leaving Ocean Dock? Measures about 4.5″ long and in excellent condition.
