It is often tough in this business not to use the same descriptions over and over again. Truly, how many different ways can one describe a postcard? Happily, I am saved from the unfortunate fate of repetition in this case since this card is a rarity–lovely and highly sought after. A real-photo postcard of the first-class smoking room of the ground-breaking RMS Olympic. 95% of the time the photographer is drawn to document the fireplace and not this end of the room. But lucky for us this photographer showed some brains and took the stunning stained-glass wall opposite the fireplace. Unused and in mint condition.
