White Star Line was justifiably proud of the new Olympic. As well they should have been. Perhaps one of her crowning glories was the new à la carte Restaurant on B Deck aft. It is one of the most lavishly decorated rooms ever to put to sea. Since the idea of an extra-tariff dining venue was so novel, advertising it and explaining what it was was in order. Here is that fold over. It even mentions the discount you would get on your ticket price should you take all your meals exclusively in the Restaurant, which according to John Maxtone-Graham, was a sure-fire ticket to a hungry crossing if you tried to stay within the $24 allotted (which was quite a lot of money at the time).
