Wonderful pair of bookends made from the teak decking of the Mauretania. Standing XXX” tall x XXXX wide, these are in excellent condition. One end has a plaque from Hughes, Bolckow Shipbreaking Co. in Blyth, Northumberland, attesting to their origin. Just imagine gracing your shelves with the ship that held the Blue Ribband for 22 years! I have only ever seen a few pairs of these including the set I own personally. In fact, a lucky one of you is getting my set. Recent additions to my own collection mean that I don’t have room for these anymore. My loss is your gain! A set of these resides in the Discovery Museum in the UK. Own a legitimate museum piece.
