A superb signed and numbered fine-art lithograph by maritime artist Ken Marschall of the Lusitania departing New York for the final time on May 1, 1915. This lithograph is printed on acid-free archival paper using fade-resistant inks to ensure its longevity.
It is number 13 of 275 signed prints in this series, and it is signed by two survivors of that tragic day: Audrey Pearl Lawson Johnston (first class, 3 months old) and her nurse Alice Lines Drury (first class, 18 years old). Alice saved baby Audrey from the sinking, and they remained lifelong friends. Alice passed away in November, 1997, and Audrey died in January, 2011. Audrey was the last living survivor of the disaster.
These are quite easy and relatively inexpensive to ship as they can be rolled. The overall size of the print is 32” x 20”, and it is in excellent condition.
