Where else can you find something like this? A lifeboat-and-raft ration biscuit tin from the famous Cunarder ss Queen Mary. It contains one pound of biscuits divided into 48 separate serving portions. Stamped “Cunard SS Stores” and (added after the ship arrived in Long Beach) “not edible due to age.” The tin box is still sealed and has its contents. These tins, along with just about everything else, were sold when the Queen Mary opened to the public in the early 1970s. The tin is a bit worn due to age and the fact no one figured these would last this long! Measures about 7″ x 4″ x 2″.
