Souvenir whiskey tumbler as sold in the on-board gift shops of the Cunard Queens. Great company logo in the bottom of the glass. Have your Friday night cocktail in style! Measures about 3½” tall.
Note: These are often sold as on-board service, but the evidence does not support that. In my 25 years of collecting, I have never seen an on-board glass that was marked with the company logo in any way. You might occasionally see these glasses being sold as pre-World War I in-service pieces. It is easy to see why the pre-war Cunard belt logo on this ashtray is as confusing as it is desirable. After a lot of careful thought and reviewing the available evidence, I believe that these were not on-board pre-WWI items is as often quoted but rather souvenirs made by Stuart Crystal and sold in the gift shops on board Cunarders in the 1950’s and 1960’s.
