Stunning pair of Cunard candle sticks dating to the 19th century. They are made by Elkington Plate and date to 1870! They are almost certainly from one of the following ships, which all came out in that year: Abyssinia, Algeria, Parthia, or Batavia.
They have their original silver plate and show just typical wear. In fact, I would say they are in excellent condition given their age of nearly 150 years. One in particular has gone a bit bent, perhaps from a fall at sea. It is not much and could be used as is but could easily be straightened out. They measure about 9.5″ tall x about 5.5″ across at the base. Rare does not do them justice.
